Preparing The House

Since there's only two more weeks to go before Spock arrives it's time to start preparing the house.

Cats don't require much preparation, like dogs, that like to bite and chew stuff up.

So, first things first.

A place to eat:

Food bowl

When we saw this one we thought it was perfect, not too big, not too small, and it looks good!

We also think that Spock should always have fresh water available, even when there's no one home, so we bought one of these:

Food and water
It holds a lot of water, so there's no risk of a thirsty cat !

Another must have: the litter box! :

Closed litter box

We had to buy an extra large one, since Norwegian Forest Cats are the second largest domestic cat!

It's a closed one because we have no idea if he likes to throw sand out of the box, and it means less odors too.

Last, but not the least, a carrier:

Cat carrier
This one is also a must have, since it is illegal to carry an animal in a car outside a carrier.
Again, a big carrier for a big cat.

For now that's all the updates.

Hello everyone

We are a young couple from Lisbon, Portugal.

We are now just waiting for our new family member to reach 12 weeks of age, so we can go pick him up at our local breeder - Shadow Eyes (Cascais, Portugal).

Meet Spock:

Spock - 1,5 weeks

This is the picture that made us choose him, still very young.

After 6,5 weeks this is how he looks:

Spock - 8 weeks

Take a look at this small clip we made at our last visit to the breeder:
