Mystery Solved

I was wandering what was the big deal with him, wanting to go to the top of the book cabinet all the time. I thought it was just because he's a cat, all cats like high places.

But there was more.

As some of you know, I have a couple of guitars here in my place, and, the other day, I was changing the strings on one of them. Spock was extremely curious with what was happening, always trying to grab a piece of the string to take with him.

I keep my old string in a paper bag, while waiting for a chance to recycle them:

As you can imagine, this is like a bag full of candy for Spock, so I had to hide it. Where? On top of the book cabinet. I thought he wouldn't reach it anytime soon.

Take a look where I found him today:

"Finally!"

He got full of dust, as you can imagine, if you look closely in the next pictures you'll see that his paws are grey, that's dust...

This is after removing everything from up there and cleaning all the dust:

I think it's his new favorite place:

"This up and down business is just too much..."

Higher Ground

Hi everyone!!

Remember last time when you saw the cat on top of the door? He does that everyday now, I think he's addicted to the adrenaline rush from that little stunt lol.

"Nice view from up here" 

When he comes back down, either jumping back down to the table or directly to the ground, he lays down for a long time, like he's waiting for the rush to pass.

I believe that his final purpose is to be on top of the book cabinet, but for that he must first pass on top of the air conditioner, which was exactly what he did yesterday:

It was a tricky jump from the top of the door to the AC, because there's not much space between the AC and the ceiling. Take a look:

Time to return to base

This was a very complicated jump - back to the door.

I didn't think it was possible for him to jump back down to the door, because there was hardly any space for him to move, but he did it, it's a shame I didn't capture it on film.

No comment

His state of mind must have been somewhere between proud and terrified, because he got back down to the ground quite fast, and sat down resting lol.

Mid-October

Hello everyone!

Time for some updates on Spock.

First, take a look where i found him when I entered the living room the other day:

I think the adrenaline rush was so big that he slept the rest of the day !!

Building a castle - Part I (cancelled)

I saw something online the other day about a person who built a maze for his cats with card boxes, so i decided to give it a try myself, since i had noticed that my cat (like all others!) loves boxes.

First step was to assemble the boxes, all 20 of them.

As soon as I started assembling Spock got curious and started exploring and playing.

Next was gathering the necessary tools:

Also very important, planning.

Of course these things never go according to plan, but it's good to have some guidelines to what you're about to build.

After numbering the boxes needed for this part, it was time to start the build.
